What Sessions are like

Somatic psychotherapy is a slower, body-centered process that works with your nervous system in real time.

We focus on noticing what is happening experientially—sensations, breath, posture, emotional shifts, and patterns of activation or settling—as they arise in the present moment.

Rather than analyzing experience from a distance, we work with it as it unfolds, allowing space for awareness, regulation, and integration to develop naturally.

What we may work with

  • Trauma and complex or developmental trauma

  • Anxiety, chronic stress and shut-down/collapse patterns

  • Nervous system dysregulation and survival responses

  • Attachment and relational patterns

  • Emotional processing and integration

  • Identity, values, and decision-making exploration

How We Work

Sessions may include:

  • breath awareness and regulation practices

  • body-based tracking (felt sense)

  • grounding and orientation

  • gentle movement

  • pendulation between activation and safety

These practices support the nervous system in processing activation and building greater capacity for regulation and internal steadiness.

Who this is for

This work may feel supportive if you are looking for:

  • A deeper connection to your body and internal cues including nervous system states/patterns

  • Relief chronic nervous system patterns including stress, anxiety/overwhelm or shutdown/collapse

  • Increased capacity to be present with emotional experience

  • Greater access to embodiment in both personal experience and relationships

  • A clearer sense of self, including embodied identity, values, decision-making, and priorities

  • A slower, relational space for healing, integration, and change

Trauma-Informed Pacing

This work is paced with care.

We focus on safety, capacity, and small moments of regulation—allowing change to unfold gradually and sustainably.
